Description
A memorial to the men and women of the US Armed Forces, the Victory Arch is located in historic downtown Newport News. Originally dedicated in 1919 and made of plaster and wood, the arch was completely refashioned in stone and rededicated in 1962. Topped with an eternal flame, the Victory Arch is a constant reminder of the important role Newport News has played in many wars.
