Learn about the critical need for foster parents in the Tidewater area & other ways individuals, businesses, faith and other community groups can become community partners on behalf of youth in out-of-home care in Tidewater.
Event Details
Purpose of meeting: To provide information about the critical need for foster parents in the Tidewater area. This session requires no commitment and will provide detailed information about the children and teens in need of out-of-home services, as well as the extensive training and comprehensive support UMFS offers to prospective foster parents. We'll also discuss next steps if participants choose to move forward—now or in the future; in addition to other ways individuals, businesses and other faith and community groups can become community partners on behalf of youth in out-of-home care right here in Hampton Roads. If participants are married or will be co-parenting with a significant other who lives in their home, we ask that both adults attend the session.
